hyzenthlay20 Loving my 3GS Jun 24, 2009 8:13 AM Ok, I've had my phone since last Friday, and I LOVE IT! Sure, it's not perfect (I wish that more apps had push functionality, like Facebook) and I wish that Google would come up with an actual app, not a web based one (same with Tivo) and that Netflix would refine theirs (I've removed movies from my queue several times, to no avail). BUT I love the screen, I like that I'm paying for the same data plan I had and actually being able to USE my phone. I like that it gets on my home network. I made a bunch of ringtones out of my iTunes (no, I didn't pay for them), and I wish that I could make some to set as the "Received Text Message" tone, but I can't do that unless I unlock it. I probably will, at some point in the distant future, but I just love it so much right now that I don't want to screw it up :) It's really fast, and even though I've been using it A LOT every day, when I go to bed at night it's around 20% battery life.

hyzenthlay20 Ordered my iPhone 3GS today! Jun 9, 2009 8:31 PM I've been lusting after an iPhone since last summer, when my boyfriend got the 3G and I still had 6 months to go on my contract. By the time my contract was up, I decided to wait it out until the new iPhone was introduced, and that day is FINALLY here :) I ordered the white 16GB phone. I was the 10th (or so) person to order in my town, so I hope this means I'll be able to skip the long waiting line that will undoubtedly be at the local AT&T, just go in, get my phone (maybe in a shorter line for the pre-orders) and be on my way. I know, it's probably unrealistic to hope that, but there's got to be SOME perk to pre-ordering, right? So, now I am trying to figure out what case to order, so that I don't have my phone without a case. Especially since the body of the 3GS is the same as the body of the 3G. I'm leaning toward either the More Thing Hex Color in Teal (called Coral on their site), Purple, or Navy or the iSkin Solo FX in Vive (purple) or Breeze (teal). I like that the iSkin comes with a screen protector that is mirrored, while the More Thing doesn't come with a screen protector.

Katharine Refurbs? Mar 10, 2009 4:56 PM Has anyone bought a refurbished laptop from apple? Were you happy with it? Would you buy another one? I am thinking of getting a new macbook. I can get a new 2.0GHz for $1299 but I could get a refurbished 2.4GHz for $1399. I have only ever bought new laptops and I am seriously conflicted. Do they look new? Will I miss the "new" feeling?
