Who else watched the Apple Special Event?
I just finished watching it this morning because of the time difference. This is the first event where I've come out having such a huge Apple wishlist!

Does anyone else think the wording on this is a little bit non PC (as in politically correct, not that other kind of computer)??

You can watch the special event here: http://events.apple.com.edgesuite.net/r27842e/event/index.html?test=q1wa...

my wish list:

1) The new 24" iMac:

Isn't that the most sleek computer you've ever seen? I love the slim keyboard! the 24" iMac starts at $1799 and then there's the super-fancy one which I would like but wouldn't realistically get.

2) iLife 08' - Upgraded iphoto, a new imovie that looks like it'll actually be usable, garage band (never used that one myself), and idvd. i am most excited about the upgrades to iphoto, including "events".

watch the guided tour of iLife.

3) iWork 08' - I've been using pages a lot for school and while it works okay, its certainly not perfect. Lately, i've been looking at different apps to replace it with. I was in the process of buying Mellel II with Bookends (a good citation management program) but now that iWork 08' is out which includes a much sought after spreadsheet program, I am totally wanting it! It includes an updated Keynote, Pages (which now looks like it'll do word processing a lot better, as well as page layout), and Numbers, the new spreadsheet program which looks so intuitive!

4) a video camera. This has nothing to do with Apple, but watching how easy it is to make videos on iMovie, on the Apple Special Event, I really want to do this. I've been wanting to use video in my art for a while now and of course, I need to have a video camera to do this, apart from the limitations on my Canon camera.

I am currently downloading the trial version of iWork 08'. I encourage you all to do the same.
