Who else watched the Apple Special Event?
I just finished watching it this morning because of the time difference. This is the first event where I've come out having such a huge Apple wishlist!
Does anyone else think the wording on this is a little bit non PC (as in politically correct, not that other kind of computer)??

You can watch the special event here: http://events.apple.com.edgesuite.net/r27842e/event/index.html?test=q1wa...
my wish list:
Isn't that the most sleek computer you've ever seen? I love the slim keyboard! the 24" iMac starts at $1799 and then there's the super-fancy one which I would like but wouldn't realistically get.
2) iLife 08' - Upgraded iphoto, a new imovie that looks like it'll actually be usable, garage band (never used that one myself), and idvd. i am most excited about the upgrades to iphoto, including "events".

watch the guided tour of iLife.
3) iWork 08' - I've been using pages a lot for school and while it works okay, its certainly not perfect. Lately, i've been looking at different apps to replace it with. I was in the process of buying Mellel II with Bookends (a good citation management program) but now that iWork 08' is out which includes a much sought after spreadsheet program, I am totally wanting it! It includes an updated Keynote, Pages (which now looks like it'll do word processing a lot better, as well as page layout), and Numbers, the new spreadsheet program which looks so intuitive!

4) a video camera. This has nothing to do with Apple, but watching how easy it is to make videos on iMovie, on the Apple Special Event, I really want to do this. I've been wanting to use video in my art for a while now and of course, I need to have a video camera to do this, apart from the limitations on my Canon camera.
I am currently downloading the trial version of iWork 08'. I encourage you all to do the same.

3I'm with you tdamji, the new iMacs are really cool. I'm also crazy for the keyboard. It's a really stunning design.
4I was ready to go to an Apple store today to get iLife 08, alas they didn't have them yet....
5yes, the keyboards are so well designed. the wireless ones are especially sleek.
6I have a 20" Apple monitor one at work and it's not much smaller than that entire computer. Those iMacs are so sleek!
7I have a plain jane PC lol! I am used to it so I don't care to switch... I guess I would if I had to for work. They are very cute though!!!
8oh and I don't care for the keyboard, it is too small I don't think I would like using it
9Wow. They sure have come a long way. Apple's designers are awesome.
10I am computer illerate and know nothing much about computers except how to surf the net. I do know I never cared for the apple computers.
11I love all new software, iLife and iWork, especially Excel killer NUMBERS
12and I wish new iMac was all-shiny-black
But I hate the cold crowd at the event, are they blind or deaf?
Steve is showing them some of the most amazing things and they remain silent?
ooh looks good
13thats funny Performita! it looked like they were in a classroom or something, just trying to stay awake! maybe they were on their best behaviour because of the broadcasting or something.
