Bummed that my iPhone can't play in my car like my previous iPods I have been in search of ways to get my technology in my car. I am most likely going to buy a new car as I would also like Bluetooth hands free calling as well (California law changes in July of 2008 and makes it illegal to not be hands free!). The Ford Edge has caught my eye. While I like the looks well enough I had swore off American cars after my Chevy Trailblazer dropped half of its value in just over a year. This Microsoft Sync has me really leaning towards the Edge. Not only will it play my iPhone music, it has voice command ability (you've seen the commercials- Play artist Michael Bolton
. I also read that it will sync your address book to the vehicle! I have dealt with many cars with bluetooth and they have always needed you to put in your special address book in the car as it couldn't use what was on your phone. I think this is a huge step in technology. Having my iPhone integrate like this would be huge! The one scary thing is..... it's Microsoft. Hubby is against it for this reason. What if you get the blue screen of death in your car? Anyone have this? Anyone using it with their iPhone? Would you trust it?

I don't know....I just never have problems with anything Apple.
1I also like to wait for things to be out for a while before I buy it.
I like to wait for the bugs to be worked out before I buy!
By the way, how many does it seat? Looking for room for 6.
The Edge is smaller as it is in the crossover breed of cars, so probably not a daily six seater. That sync technology is available in quite a few of their various vehicles. Check out the site http://www.syncmyride.com/
2i'm glad you posted this b/c i wasn't sure if the law had already gone through (i'm in CA too). it's good to know!! gives me a little bit of time...
